Toilet training02.06.2010
Any tips on how to toilet train a puppy, my dog is 13 weeks old and still goes wherever he is even though we praise him if its outside and tell him off if he is inside. Thanks.

Hello,
The most common ways of toilet training are to keep putting him outside to go to the toilet when you notice him sniffing around looking for a spot to go. Or using puppy pads inside the house. He will most likely use them to go to the toilet on and you gradually move them towards the back door until when he goes by the back door to go to the toilet you let him out. If he doesnt use them instinctively its a case of putting him on the pads when he is either loking for a spot to go, or starts to go.
Toilet training can be frustrating but aslong as you stick with it he should start to understand. If not, puppy training classes can help.
