rabbits behaviour

hi my name is tracey i am registerd with you for my dog and rabbit, my question is i have a rabbit who is about 1 year old and yesturday got a rabbit dont know the sex yet, we put the new rabbit in the run and after a few sniffs my rabbit mounted it which we stopped then removed it, does this mean the new rabbit is a female or is it a domenance thing i dont know to just put them in the run together or what, we are new to this rabbit keepin and want to do the right thing please help, many thanks

Hello,

It can be a sign of domenance which is also shown amongs dogs. But the best thing to do is to pop the rabbit into a Budget Vets branch so that we can check the sex and prevent any unwanted pregnancies.
