Sophie Guevara

Sophie began her training in 2016 and qualified in 2018. She worked in a variety of hospital, emergency and referral practices before joining the South Wales Vets team in 2022 as head nurse of the Blackwood branch.
Her main interests are emergency and critical care, and she is currently completing a certificate in this area. She also has a passion for feline friendly nursing, and will be working to establish Blackwood as a Cat Friendly Clinic following the refurbishment, having already completed a Feline Nursing certificate.Her responsibilities within the practice include organising the day-to-day running of the branch, ordering stock, and general nursing duties such anaesthetics, monitoring inpatients and performing nurse clinics.

In her spare time, she enjoys rock climbing and going on hikes in the Brecon Beacons with her husband.
